Richard Warp is a composer and sound designer, a recording engineer and producer, and a developer of Brain-Computer Music Interface (BCMI) appplications. As senior audio lead at Leapfrog, he has created music and sound design for hundreds of titles across Leapfrog’s interactive reading, gaming and Toy platforms, and works regularly with major studios including Disney/Pixar, Lucas, Dreamworks and Cartoon Network. He is also Audio Director for Kizoom, a mobile education startup that teaches kids about the brain. As a an engineer and producer, he currently works with the NYC classical label Urlicht Audiovisual, to produce Hi-Def Blu-Ray surround sound music recordings, one of which was voted one of the ‘best classical recordings of 2012’ by the New York Times. His recent work on BCMI, and particularly the installation ‘NeuroDisco’ – has been widely covered in the press (Wired.com, KQED, Neurogadget) and featured at numerous events in the Bay Area and elsewhere including AES 2012, Neurogaming 2013, Maker Faire, Cal Academy Nightlife and San Diego’s ‘Mozart and the Mind’ Conference.
