Michael Fleming

Michael Fleming is an associate professor of audio production in the Department of Recording Industry at Middle Tennessee State University, where he teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in audio technology and studio techniques. Michael is also an active AES member, currently serving as Vice-President of the Central Region (USA/Canada), and was co-chair of the recent AES 50th International Conference on Audio Education.
Michael’s production credits range from sound editorial and premastering work to producing recordings and broadcasts for solo artists and ensembles including the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Nashville Opera, jazz pianist Jan Jarczyk and Nashville singer-songwriter Phil Lee. He is a violinist and holds degrees in physics and sound recording from Carleton College and McGill University.
