Charlie DeVane is a principal engineer at MathWorks where he works on automatic code generation for DSP products. He has a strong interest in professional audio and is an active member of the Boston Section of the AES. He plays bass and guitar in two bands that play out regularly, and when he is not playing or working on constructing his project studio, he likes to read math for fun. He holds an MEng in Computer Science from Cornell University and a BSEE from NC State. He is a senior member of the ACM and holds 8 patents.
