Allan Kozinn is a culture reporter at the New York Times. He was a music critic at the Times for 35 years, and is the author of several books, including "The Beatles: From the Cavern to the Rooftop" (Phaidon) and "The New York Times Essential Library: Classical Music" (Times Books). His embook, "Got That Something'! - How "I Want To Hold Your Hand Changed Everything" (Times Books) is due out in November.
