Kimberly Sacks is SBE certified. Her interest in electronics began around the age of 10, particularly with computers and networking. Her career began when she started working for her family owned accounting and management business, where she learned business management skills and maintained the IT systems. While she was in college she became an assistant to a broadcast consulting engineer. Her first major project in broadcast radio included rebuilding a 4 tower directional AM array, which gave her an in depth understanding of the physical realities of RF and complex impedance matching/ phasing networks. When Kimberly was 20 years old she began designing products for Henry Engineering, specializing in computer aided design and manufacturing of circuit boards for professional audio products. By the age of 25 Kimberly and her business/ design partners had been awarded a total of 4 “Cool Stuff” awards from Radio World Magazine, for the design of pro audio equipment, such as the USB Matchbox, used predominately in broadcast radio. Today she manages a broadcast engineering consulting and design for hire business. Kimberly’s clients range from small AM broadcasters to major broadcasting networks such as CBS, Clear Channel, Citadel, BBC America and others. In addition to her consulting work she runs a business with her husband designing audio and test equipment, and refurbishing analog audio processors, primarily analog equipment manufactured by Orban.
