D. Fraser Clark

Fraser Clark graduated with a B.Sc. in Electronics and Electrical Engineering, and then gained a Ph.D. in Integrated Optics from the University of Glasgow in 1985 and subsequently spent five years as a Post. Doc. researching silicon based sensors at the University of Strathclyde. He joined the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering at UWS in 1990 as Lecturer in Optics. His research has evolved from optical waveguide fabrication and device modelling to acoustical analysis and spatial sound. He has won several prizes for innovation and design which has led to contract research for SMEs through numerous Government sponsored programmes in a range of areas beyond his research interests, such as sensor and embedded design to LED based lighting products. He is a member of the AES and IET.
