I've been working with algorithms for real-time communications since the late 1990s, focusing on voice quality. I architected and developed the iSAC wideband speech codec that helped bring Skype to prominence in its early days. While at Skype, I created their current super-wideband codec, SILK, and drove the IETF standardization that combined SILK and Xiph.org's CELT codecs into Opus. I've also worked on various speech enhancement algorithms (noise reduction, echo cancellation, beamforming), and on large-scale data analysis and modeling.
