Kenneth Rose

Kenneth Rose received the Ph.D. degree in 1991 from the California Institute of Technology. He is now professor of electrical and computer engineering at the University of California, Santa Barbara. His main research activities are in the areas of information theory and signal processing, and include audio and video coding and networking. He was elected Fellow of the IEEE in 2003, and has received several awards including the 1990 William R. Bennett Prize Paper Award of the IEEE Communications Society, and the 2004 and 2007 IEEE Signal Processing Society Best Paper Awards.
