Kristian "Kit" Lane

Primary Affiliation: University of Derby - Derby, UK

Having gained degrees in Computing Science and Music Information Technology, Kit found himself working in professional theatre as a technician, Production Manager and Video Designer in venues across the U.K. with the occasional foray to Australia and the U.S.A. In 2006 he joined the University of Derby as a lecturer in live event technologies such as lighting, show control, event management, video, interactive media and venue design. Kit is now programme leader for the new BA in Technical Theatre.

Areas of research interest include novel interfaces for human interaction with event technology, large scale image presentation in a theatrical context, system integration for show control and applied pedagogy for the live event practitioner.
