I received the Doctor degree of Engineering from Kumamoto University in Japan. Now I am a Professor in Graduate School of Science and Technology at Tokai University in Japan.
My research interests are the development of Optical Wave Microphone (OWM) without the diaphragm using the Fraunhofer diffraction of laser beam. The OWM can detect the sound signal from audio frequency to supersonic sound without the diaphragm. Moreover, OWM can be used for the two-dimensional sound field visualization by computerized tomography (CT) method because the ultra-small modulation by the sound field is integrated along the laser beam path. Now, I have applied the OWM-CT system to examine the discharge phenomenon such as the atmospheric pressure plasma.
