AEA - Audio Engineering Associates
AEA Ribbon Mics and Preamps is family owned and operated in beautiful Pasadena, California. Proudly independent, we still manufacture all our microphones by hand right here in the United States. Founded in 1964 by Wes Dooley, AEA has built a reputation for excellence in ribbon microphone technology. When RCA stopped manufacturing and servicing ribbon microphones in 1976, AEA got into the business of supporting the recording community by repairing and refurbishing ribbon microphones. In 1998, responding to the growing scarcity of vintage RCA ribbon microphones, AEA re-introduced the 44, much to the thrill of many in the recording industry. In 2002, AEA began designing its own line of original ribbon microphones, including the award-winning R84. Because most affordable preamps are not made with the needs of a ribbon microphone in mind, AEA created the TRP and RPQ to match a ribbon microphone at an economical price point, yet without sacrificing the purity of signal that is traditionally the domain of mic pre's costing thousands of dollars more. Most recently, AEA released the N22, a phantom-powered ribbon microphone specifically designed for singer-songwriters, musicians and home studios.

Warm Audio
Warm Audio’s goal is to put high-end gear in the hands of the world’s greatest artists. We believe that talent deserves to be expressed, and expressed properly. Many excellent musicians are never heard in the right light due to budget restrictions. We hope to change this by bringing fully professional designs to budget and professional studios. Our array of products masterfully captures microphones and instruments with great clarity and warmth. Our biggest suggestion is to not let our price tags fool you. All of our products are fully professional, completely discrete designs that don’t use any surface mount components. Best of all we exclusively use custom USA made CineMag transformers that are found in only the best designs in pro audio.
