TT4 - Focus-Fox Studio
Abstract:
To achieve something extraordinary Focus-Fox developed a studio with excellent sound and the best available picture quality. Combining the two operations, a shared grading and mixing studio was created and opened in 2010. The elementary acoustic design was made by the famous Canadian Pilchner and Schoustal Acoustic Design Center. The goal was to fulfill Dolby’s and THX’s strict requirements in an exceptionally comfortable setting. The result is an environment where real dreams come true all the time. The screening room is 43’ x 49’ x 16.5’ (13 x 15 x 5 meters) in size while the Stewart screen itself is 29.5’ x 12.5’ (9 x 3,80 meters). The screening room is equipped with Baselight 4 color corrector, Christie’s 2k digital projector, and a 35mm film projector. For surround mixing a “two operator” ICON console with Pro Tools HD System and an HD Adrenaline from Avid is used. A Dolby 3D system is also available.
