AES San Francisco 2006 - Student Paper Competition
The AES has launched a new opportunity to recognize student members
who author technical papers. Rob Maher and Christopher J. Struck,
Papers Co-Chairs, have administered a special Student Paper Award
Competition based on the preprint manuscripts accepted for the AES
technical program in San Francisco. Twenty eight student-authored
papers were nominated. The excellent quality of the submissions has
made the selection process both challenging and exhilarating.
The award-winning student paper will be announced during the 121st
Convention, and the student-authored manuscript will be published in
a timely manner in the Journal of the Audio Engineering Society.
Nominees for the Student Paper Award were required to meet the
following qualifications:
(a) The paper was accepted for presentation at the AES 121st
Convention.
(b) The first author was a student when the work was conducted and
the manuscript prepared.
(c) The student author's affiliation listed in the manuscript is an
accredited educational institution.
(d) The student will deliver the lecture or poster presentation at
the Convention.
