Two millennia of history are alive in the town of Regensburg. Founded in the year 179 AD., this city was built for military reasons by Marc Aurel, the emperor of Rome.
Regensburg is one of the most beautiful medieval towns of Germany. For six centuries, it was a Free Reichsstadt and directly placed under the German emperor.
Here existed for 150 years the so-called perpetual Reichstag, the forerunner of the German parliament.
You will experience the past in the numerous sights, which we will see during a sight-seeing tour.
Attention : This city tour can only made on foot !
After a good meal in a historical restaurant you will visit the Museum of the dynasty of Thurn and Taxis. They have been the permanent deputies of the Emperor and held the postal monopoly. The museum is in the northern part of their palace St. Emmeram.
Note: Lunch costs are not included in the price of the tour.
