T2: Masterdisk, New York City

Beginning with vinyl's reign, musicians, engineers, and producers have been drawn to the unique sound produced at Masterdisk studios. Masterdisk was one of the first facilities to offer direct metal mastering (DMM) and high-end digital processing (Weiss, Neve, Sonic/NoNoise) and now offers surround mastering, enhanced CD, and DVD authoring. The tour featured a look at Masterdisk's six (two surround, three vinyl lathe, and one DMM) audio mastering suites.
