Dr Jack Oclee-Brown graduated from the Institute of
Sound and Vibration Research (ISVR) with a MEng in
Acoustical Engineering in 2004. He then joined GP
Acoustics, initially as a Research Engineer working on
technology development for both KEF and Celestion
products. This work led him to embark on a part-time PhD
with the ISVR, which was awarded in 2012, and resulted
in a series of AES publications on the acoustics of
compression drivers, many co-authored with his long-term
collaborator Mark Dodd. Besides compression-driver
acoustics, he has also been involved in the development of
many other patented and published technologies for KEF
products. Jack is now the Vice President of Technology at
KEF and responsible for the R&D Engineering team based
in Maidstone. He continues to be passionate about all
aspects of reproduced sound and especially loudspeaker
behaviour and technology.
