AES133 San Francisco | PMC ROOM + RECORDING CRITIQUES

AES133 San Francisco | PMC ROOM + RECORDING CRITIQUES

Hey Students!

Among the seemingly countless student activities at the 133rd Audio Engineering Society Convention, we're particularly pleased to announce the return of the PMC Masters of Audio Demo Room, featuring once again Student Recording Critiques!

Join PMC for demonstrations and in-depth discussion of the latest advancements in analog modeling plug-ins and its sonic performances. Learn how to dig deep into some of the most popular and sonically rich analog modeling plug-ins available today. We invite all students, young and old, to come take part in this wonderful opportunity.

Presentations will include Charles Deenen who will give a demonstration on sound design for trailers & games, Ross Hogarth who will discuss some of his favorite mixing tools, Tony Maserati and his team from Outfit 27 who will hold three different talks on session preparation, premix, additional production and mix-down, Jack Vad who will be sharing some of the latest high resolution recordings, Erik Zobler who will be showcasing some of his latest projects, Maor Appelbaum who will share his thoughts of mastering, Jochen Veith who will share his insights into acoustics through a case study on Wisseloord Studios and SRC Judge Jim Anderson who will be sharing with us the 5.1 remix of Patricia Barbers "Modern Cool".

RECORDING CRITIQUES

Don't forget to bring in your stereo or surround projects for these non-competitive listening sessions and the panel will be pleased to give you valuable feedback and comments on your work. Signups for time slots will begin at the SDA I meeting on a first come, first served basis. Bring your stereo or surround work on CD, DVD, memory-stick, or hard disc, as clearly-labeled 44.1KHz WAVE or AIFF files. Finalists in the Recording Competition are excluded from participating in this event to allow the many non-finalists an opportunity for feedback on their hard work.

As always, we thank PMC for their generous support of the Audio Engineering Society and audio education and hope to see you all at the PMC Room in San Francisco.
