130th Recording Competition Judge: Dave Maclaughlin

"Dave Maclaughlin is the Executive Director of Audio for the New England School of Communications in Bangor Maine. Nescom is a 4 year Communications College which is part of Husson University. Dave has been with Nescom for 24 years. He previously worked for many years in the audio industry in both Canada and the U.S. as both a recording and live sound engineer and in broadcast radio and television. He has been involved with a variety of artists including One Horse Blue, River Bottom Funk, Dutch Mason, Spilled Milk, Toronto, Nylons, April Wine, Erik White, Valdy and Minglewood. While teaching at Nescom he continues to do both recording and mastering projects. He is a former radio station owner and holds AS degrees in Electonics, A Bachelor’s in Communications and an MBA. Dave lives in Bangor Maine with his wife of 34 years, Mary Jo."
