Election Rules:
Based on the bylaw of AES, Taiwan Section apply for on-line voting along with on-site voting and report to Mr. Anthony Schultz (Chair, Regions & Sections Vice President Eastern Region of US/Canada, Audio Engineering Society (AES)). This has been approved by Mr. Schultz.
The election starts from Oct-31, 2017 by the notice of emails to all members. And the election lasts thru Dec-18, 2017. Please carry your valid ID.
Valid votes are these members who holds their membership till December 18, 2017.
Total votes need to be over 2/4 of all valid voting member counts. Student members can come to the annual meeting but can not vote of this election. Assuming valid membership counts are 46, then ⅔ of 46 is 30.67. So 31 votes is the requirement of a valid election.
To check the valid memberships, the nomination Committee will check AES on-line membership database on 23:59, December 18, 2017.
There are 4 officers that need to be elected.
According to our AES bylaw, an on-site nomination is provided during the annual meeting.
Each member has one vote. If members voted on-line, then this member is not allowed to vote on-site during the annual meeting.
More votes win the election if there is more than two candidates.
On-line votes will require members to fill-in their member ID number, their name in the AES membership database, and their email address that is used to log-in AES website.
The result of this election will be announced on-line on December 18, 2017.
Suggestions of all topics can be proposed in the annual meeting.
