Starting the year off on the right foot, AES at IU hosted our first large meeting! This callout meeting featured a chance for new students to tour the Joshi studio, interact with their peers, and get questions answered. Our AES officers and faculty advisor talked about AES's goals for the year and announced our upcoming events. In addition, a large portion of the event was dedicated to promoting the 145th AES Convention in New York City since we want as many students as possible to take advantage of the opportunities there. Many students from the audio department were in attendance, and a few students from beyond the music school! In summary, it was a great kick-off event for the school year. AES would like to thank the IU Audio Engineering and Sound Production Department (especially Jamie Tagg and Konrad Strauss) for the studio time and faculty support of the event.
