The AES Colorado Chapter and the AES UCD Student Chapter visited Airshow Mastering in Boulder, hosted by co-owner and mastering engineer David Glasser. Attendees enjoyed a tour of the facilities followed by a presentation by Duane Wise of Wholegrain Digital Systems.
Duane presented a tutorial on quantization in digital audio, including issues and solutions. He provided a live audio demonstration illustrating quantization, dither and noise shaping by using an Audio Unit plugin that he created for the demonstration.
