Liz Ip did not take a direct path as an audio engineer and has done everything from mixing SAP/International feeds, communications, RF and hiding microphones on talent and in sets. She has worked in the recording and film industries and on live events such as concert broadcasts, primetime talk shows, as well as recording studio projects. Her list of clients include: BET, The USTA’s US Open, MLB, YES Network, NHL, Tidal X and Tidal CRWN, Mixed Martial Arts, MTV, the NBC Live Musicals, ABC, CBS, Pandora, AOL Music, various NYC Parades, The Metropolitan Opera, the World Science Festival both at Hunter and John Jay Colleges.
Notable shows she has played a role include “Black Girls Rock”, BET’s “106 & Park”, “Rap City”, BET’s “Blueprint”, “TRL” (v1 with Carson Daly & the Reboot), NBC’s “New Years with Carson Daly”, Alicia Keys “Here in Times Square”, PBS’s “Bill Moyers Show”, “Wendy”, ABC’s “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire”, “The Beastie Boys Story”, UFC’s Fight Week and “Lucha Libre AAA: Invading New York”, and “Live PD”. She built the first season of a small unknown Bravo talk show called “Watch What Happens Now” in an office building. She assisted in the creation and implementation of the USTA’s US Open International Compound Communications systems, the RF and Communications at Amazon Studios and Discovery Channel’s “Border Live”. She has also worked on Emmy winning and Emmy nominated audio departments for “Harry”, “The Daily Show”, “MLB Tonight”, CBS’s “The NFL Today”, The Papal Visit to NY, and Sesame Street including the special “Once Upon a Sesame Street Christmas.”
