Tim Boot

Tim Boot has been involved in the professional production of the arts throughout his 30-year career. While his primary focus has been in audio production and live sound, he has extensive background in acoustics, lighting, stagecraft, cinematography, broadcast and video. This experience encompasses the full breadth of the performing arts: theatre, opera, music, dance, and motion picture. He has worked with organizations such as the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Los Angeles Opera, the Pacific Symphony, Los Angeles Master Chorale, Kansas City Symphony, Oregon Symphony and many other artists and organizations that demand the highest level of professionalism and performance. As a recording engineer Tim was involved in the production of numerous Grammy winning classical recordings.
In the late 1990s Tim began to successfully apply his real-world experience in high-performance systems and workflows as a design consultant. Tim’s design experience has taken him beyond the performing arts, including post-production facilities, retail, hospitality and corporate audio-visual systems. In 2007 Tim joined the design and consulting firm Sonitus as a principal. During his tenure at Sonitus Tim was intimately involved in wide-ranging and high profile AV and acoustical designs for architecture in performing arts, cultural, and institutional and commercial projects.
Tim is an award-winning motion picture music editor and music-mixing engineer. (Golden Reel, “Dream girls”). His experience includes 20 years of audio and music work for motion picture production and post-production for Disney, Paramount, Universal, Sony, Fox and other major production companies.
Tim is currently the Global Brand Strategist at Meyer Sound.
