Steve Philbert

Steve Philbert is a PhD student in electrical engineering at the University of Rochester with concentration in musical acoustics and audio signal processing. His research interests include spatial audio, higher order ambisonics, binaural audio, signal processing, plugin development, and music information retrieval. He works in the spatial audio lab with a 27.2 speaker array at the University of Rochester.
Prior to attending graduate school at University of Rochester. He earned his BSEE from the Milwaukee School of Engineering in 2007. He worked in commercial systems integration as a senior audio video systems engineer and control systems programmer for 9 years. He has experience in concert production, running FOH and monitors since 2001.
