Kirk McNally

Kirk McNally is an Assistant Professor of music technology
at the University of Victoria in the School of Music.
He received his Master of Music degree in sound recording
from McGill University. As a recording engineer he has
worked with artists including R.E.M, Bryan Adams, Nine
Inch Nails, Bad Company, Sloan, The Boston Symphony
Orchestra, and the National Youth Orchestra of Canada.
Kirk is the program advisor for the undergraduate program
in music and computer science as well as the new graduate
program in music technology at the University of Victoria.
His research interests include sound recording pedagogy,
audio archives, and popular music production.
