Primary Affiliation: Core Sound LLC - Teaneck, NJ, USA
Len Moskowitz is owner and Chief Engineer at Core Sound LLC.
In 2006, Core Sound introduced TetraMic, the first A-format 1st-order ambisonic microphone, soon copied by its competitors. A unique feature of each TetraMic is that it's individually calibrated, allowing for re-calibration as the TetraMic ages, preserving its performance.
In 2018, Core Sound introduced OctoMic, the first and only A-format 2nd-order ambisonic microphone. Again, each OctoMic has the unique feature of being individually calibrated, allowing for re-calibration as the OctoMic ages, preserving its performance.
Since soon after its founding in 1990, Core Sound has been the leading supplier of binaural microphones in the world.
Previous to founding Core Sound, Len worked in the US Aerospace sector for 20 years. He led an Artificial Intelligence R&D group at AlliedSignal Aerospace (now Honeywell) for 14 years, developing and applying AI techniques to avionics test and measurement. Before that, he designed radar jammer systems at ITT for the US military.
Len plays bass in two Blues bands. He's sung with choirs at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall and The White House.
Len holds an MSEE degree from Polytechnic University of NY (now NYU).
