Elias Nemer is a Senior Director of R&D at DTS (a subsidiary of Xperi), in Calabasas, California. He is involved in the development of new algorithms for high-end Audio Coding and 3D Rendering. Prior to DTS, he was a principal scientist at Broadcom Corp (from 2006 to 2014), where he worked on enhancing speech and audio in mobile telephony. From 2000 to 2006, he was a member of technical staff at Intel and contributed to the design and development of broadband communications systems. He holds a B.Eng , M.Eng and MBA from McGill University (Montreal, Canada), and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Carleton University (Ottawa, Canada). Dr. Nemer has co-authored various papers and patents related to signal processing for audio and communications systems. He is a member of AES, a senior member of IEEE and a reviewer for various publications in the area of signal processing.
