Rémi received his Diplôme d'Ingénieur from the Ecole Centrale de Lyon, and his M.Sc. in Music Technology from Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis in 2006.
After a short time at Auralex Acoustics, Rémi worked as Chief Engineer for Keith Yates Design (KYD) from 2007 to 2010. In addition to audio system design, calibration, and traditional architectural acoustics simulations, he was responsible for applying numerical simulation methods to solving multi-physics problems including low frequency playback in small rooms, sound transmission, and air conditioning optimization. Rémi continues to support KYD as a consultant.
Rémi joined Dolby Laboratories from 2010 to early 2018. On the Sound Technology Research team his work was focused on headphone rendering and room acoustics research, as well as content creation tools prototyping. He lead the development of the Binaural RMU, which became part of the Dolby Atmos authoring tools for VR production.
In February 2018, Rémi took on the role of Lead Audio Systems Engineer in Magic Leap's Audio Algorithms team, playing an active role in the development of next generation audio technology for mixed reality applications.
