Aleksandr Karapetyan was born in Yerevan, Armenia, in 1982. He received his diploma in electrical engineering from the Technical University of Darmstadt, Germany, in 2015. His graduation project was done in the Mobile Audio Rendering Group at Fraunhofer IIS, Erlangen, with the topic: ”Importance of Early Reflections in Binaural Rendering.” In 2016 he joined the Mobile Audio Rendering Group, where he is working on signal-processing algorithms with application to binaural sound reproductions over headphones.
