Authors
Dear AES 144th presenting author,
Please take a minute to review the following important items related to your presentation at the AES 144th Convention in Berlin.
1. Registration
Online registration is now available. All AES members now have free access to the E-Library. Non-members can be upgraded after paying the non-member price for a 4-day All Access badge - simply send your request to Bill McQuaide.
2. Fill out the online facilities form for special needs.
Lecture authors who are thinking that their presentation will require more than video (HDMI and VGA) and standard 3.5mm stereo minijack connection, should view the facilities information page as soon as possible. All authors need to bring their own laptop computers. Mac users need to bring their own adapters.
3. Check the current schedule online to see the current list of paper sessions for the day and time of your presentation. (If you're giving an eBrief check here instead.)
4. All presenting authors must register and pay for 4-day All-Access badges as soon as possible. The papers of authors who have not registered and paid will be withdrawn from presentation at the convention and will not be included in the AES E-Library. AES members will have access to the 144th papers in the E-Library around 10 days before the convention.
5. Meet in Presentation Room 30 minutes before start of session.
Please plan on being on site at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start of your session. Meet in the presentation room at that time, or immediately following the preceding session to meet the session chair and to test audio-visual needs. All lecture papers are scheduled for 30-minute presentations, which will include a short introduction of the presenting author and a 5-minute question-and-answer session at the end. Authors are requested to remain in the lecture room throughout the session to answer follow-up questions that may arise during or after other papers in the session.
6. Poster guidelines.
Authors making poster presentations should download the guidelines for posters. Authors should go to the poster area 30 minutes before the start of their session to get pushpins for securing posters to the poster boards. These guidelines also apply for authors presenting Engineering Briefs in poster sessions.
7. PowerPoint Template
If you'd like to use the official AES PowerPoint template for your presentation you can download it here.
8. Further questions?
If you have any further questions contact Bill McQuaide or the papers cochairs, Sascha Spors and Ville Pulkki.
Authors who need letters of invitation to obtain a visa should contact convention cochair Alberto Pinto. You must put "AES144 visa request" in the subject of your email or it might not be processed.
