Nick Sansano

A graduate of the Berklee College of Music, and currently an Associate Arts Professor at Tisch School of the Arts, and the Associate Chair of the Clive Davis Institute at New York University. Nick Began his professional career at Greene Street Recording in NYC, recording and mixing for a variety of seminal Hip Hop artists including Public Enemy, Ice Cube, Rob Base and Run DMC. for the "Bomb Squad" production team. This early work attracted the attention of Sonic Youth, with whom he would record and co-produced the critically acclaimed “Daydream Nation” and “Goo.” Nick also maintains a international presence through his work with a variety mutli platinum French hip hop, world music, and rock artists. In all, Nick has been awarded 18 Gold, Platinum, and Diamond Record awards worldwide, has received 3 victoire de la music awards from the French recording academy, and two of his works have been selected for inclusion in the US Library of Congress' archive of Recordings of Cultural Significance.
