Dr. Alfred "Ben" Roney earned his Ph.D. in theoretical chemistry at the University of South Florida in 2006, where he specialized in computer simulation of non-linear dynamical systems. Entering industry soon after finishing graduate school, Dr. Roney developed an award-winning suite of physical modeling plug-ins at MOTU, Inc., as well as test-and-measurement algorithms at Listen, Inc. He joined The MathWorks, Inc. as a senior software developer in 2013, where he works on the Simulink simulation software.
