Dear AES 141st presenting author,
Please take a minute to review the following important items related to your presentation at the AES 141st Convention in Los Angeles.
1. Registration
Online registration is now available. All convention papers and eBriefs will be available in the AES E-Library before the convention starts, which means we'll no longer be using author VIP codes. All AES members now have free access to the E-Library. Non-members can be upgraded after paying the non-member price for a 4-day All Access badge - simply send your request to Bill McQuaide.
2. Fill out the online facilities form.
All authors giving lecture presentations fill out the online form as soon as possible. The Author's Lounge (Room 401) will have a PC with the latest version of Microsoft Office and a networked printer for authors to prepare and test their presentations.
3. Check the current schedule online to see the current list of paper sessions for the day and time of your presentation. (If you're giving an eBrief check here instead.)
4. Presenting authors who have registered and paid for 4-day all-access badges will receive a free complete set of convention papers, which will be available to download no earlier than 10 days before the convention. All current AES members will also have access to the 141st papers in the E-Library. Information on the download will be emailed to you later.
5. Meet in Presentation Room.
Meet in Presentation Room 30 minutes before start of session. Please plan on being on site at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start of your session. Meet in the presentation room at that time, or immediately following the preceding session to meet the session chair and to test audio- visual needs. All lecture papers are scheduled for 30-minute presentations, which will include a short introduction of the presenting author and a 5- minute question-and-answer session at the end. Authors are requested to remain in the lecture room throughout the session to answer follow-up questions that may arise during or after other papers in the session.
6. Poster guidelines.
Authors making poster presentations should download the guidelines for posters. Authors should go to the Posters Room (Room 403B) 30 minutes before the start of their session to get pushpins for securing posters to the poster boards. These guidelines also apply for authors presenting Engineering Briefs in poster sessions.
7. PowerPoint Template
If you'd like to use the official AES PowerPoint template for your presentation you can download it here.
8. Further questions?
If you have any further questions contact Bill McQuaide or the papers cochairs, Brett Leonard and Robert Maher.
Authors who need letters of invitation to obtain a visa should contact Bill McQuaide.
