Dr Sławomir K. Zieliński is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Computer Science at Białystok University of Technology, Poland. He received PhD and DSc degrees in Telecommunications from Gdańsk University of Technology in 1997 and 2016, respectively. Between 2000 and 2009, he worked at the Institute of Sound Recording at Surrey University, UK, initially as a post-doc Research Fellow and then as a Lecturer, where he taught classes in Electroacoustics, Audio Signal Processing, Sound Synthesis and supervised teaching activities in the Audio Laboratory.
Dr Zieliński was involved in several research projects in the area of sound engineering and psychoacoustics both in the UK and in Poland. He is an author or co-author of more than 90 scientific papers or conference reports in the area of audio engineering. He examined five PhD dissertations. His current research interest areas include applications of machine learning algorithms to spatial audio analysis, binaural technology, and affective computing.
